Repurposing of chapel to meeting room/classroom
The Sint-Jozefinstituut BUSO in Borgerhout wanted to convert an existing chapel into a meeting room/classroom. But because churches and chapel spaces have been built to amplify sound, DOX Acoustics was called upon to strategically capture the sound reflections, in the least invasive way possible.

De keuze viel op de Absorer RONDO baffels, die verticaal werden opgehangen om én zo weinig mogelijk boorpunten te gebruiken én een zo hoog mogelijk absorberend effect te creëren. Er was ook geen plaats om iets aan de wanden te bevestigen omwille van de mooie, hoge glasramen.
Dankzij de grote hoogte, vulden deze baffels de plafondruimte ook mooi in waardoor er een dimensioneel visueel effect werd gecreëerd bovenop het efficiënt akoestisch effect.
